St. Clair College’s theatre group was having a dance performance for Christmas and needed a vintage styled Christmas poster.
My idea was two reindeers with mistletoe in their mouths as if they're tango dancers with a rose, so I drew them in Adobe Illustrator.
I made the background blue for a nice contrast against the brown deer, and added the same mistletoe drawing to it to make a "wallpaper" pattern to add to the vintage aesthetic.
For the text, I added the "Happy Holidays" title under the deer, and connected the lines of the H’s to make it look more cohesive, then the rest of the performance's details under the title in a deep brown to match the deer. The St. Clair College logo is hidden between the deer and title to keep the poster more linear.
